How to get started with pre-planning

The easiest first step is a no-pressure phone call. Our team will listen and walk you through the choices at your pace.

We’ll send you a simple worksheet to take home, or schedule a visit to our Burbank funeral home if you’d prefer to plan together in person.

Online arrangements are available for convenience, and families are also welcome to make arrangements in person at our Burbank location.

Body Donation to Science is a separate pathway, not a Pre-Planning service. It is connected to Cremation after an accepted donation and is not available for Burial. The Alpha Society can help you understand eligibility before a time of need. Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Important: Body Donation to Science is connected to Cremation after an accepted donation. It is not a Burial service and does not apply to traditional Burial arrangements.

Whole body donation to science can support medical research and education while reducing funeral-related costs for accepted families. Families who are planning ahead sometimes ask about this option so they can understand BioGift’s eligibility criteria and document their wishes, rather than navigating those details at a difficult moment.

Acceptance is not guaranteed. Donation pathways are subject to BioGift’s review at the time of need.

Yes. Many families start by documenting wishes only. Pre-paying is optional and can be added later if you choose.

Yes. Pre-planned arrangements can be transferred to another licensed funeral home if your family moves. We will explain how this works during your planning conversation.

There is no fee to record your wishes or have a conversation with our team. Pre-paid plans are quoted transparently with no hidden costs.

Pre-paid plans are governed by California funeral pre-need laws, which protect your right to a refund or transfer in many cases. We will walk through the specific terms with you in writing.
